Pedra Bonita or Beautiful hill hike is one of the easiest in Rio. First, we take motorbikes (or taxis). It will be a fun and fast ride up the road in Tijuca forest until the beginning of the track. The hike is not that difficult, and the chances are quite big that on the way we meet some monkeys and some birds, maybe even toucan. It only takes about 40 minutes to go up the trail in Tijuca National Park and you are on the top of the great outlook with a view over Rio. One side will show you Christ, Two brothers, favela Rocinha and St Conrado Beach. The other side is Barra da Tijuca neighborhood. This hike is a great way to get away from the city, staying in the city. It's also possible to arrange a hang gliding or paragliding flight afterwards.
